Support Association for Widows and Orphans "Amparados"
A Ministry of Love and MercySince 2013
Who We Are
At the Support Association for Widows and Orphans "Amparados", we are committed to providing comprehensive assistance to widows and orphans in Guatemala.
Since 2013, our mission has been to transform lives by offering physical, psychological, social, and spiritual support.
We are guided by Christian values and firmly believe that compassion and love can bring hope and change to those in need.
Our History
The Association was founded in October 2013 by Moisés Arreaga. Inspired by a deep sense of compassion and a calling from God, we set out to help the families of drivers who had lost their lives due to violence in our country, leaving their loved ones in very difficult situations.
Over time, we have expanded our mission to include any widow in need of support, becoming a beacon of hope and restoration in times of sorrow.
Spiritual Foundation
We are guided by the teachings of the Bible, especially James 1:27 and James 2:17,which call us to care for orphans and widows and to demonstrate our faith through actions. We believe that true faith is reflected in love and in helping those who need it most.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27 (NIV)
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
James 2:17 (NIV)
